As a new national arts organisation, Luail is working to build relationships with venues, artists, institutions and audiences.
Touch Points is Luail’s research project facilitated in partnership with Thrive NI. The project aims to learn about current perceptions of dance among audiences and to discover different ways to increase awareness of and excitement about dance across the island of Ireland.
In 2025. The Luail team commenced its first series of audience development conversations, facilitated by Thrive, meeting with venue staff, dance enthusiasts and audiences who are less likely to see dance. The resulting conversations led to this report.
In 2026 and 2027, Luail will establish ireland’s first ever dance impact survey with venues, to discover new audiences behaviours when it comes to attending dance.
