Commissioned by Luail, For the Record is a bold new performance inviting us to watch music and listen to dance. Choreography by Colin Dunne, created in collaboration with Becky Ní Éallaithe (concertina/vocals), and Ultan O’Brien (fiddle/viola).
Blending voice, electronics, spoken word, live music, and dance, the work unfolds as a dynamic and shape-shifting encounter where roles constantly blur and no two performances are ever the same.
Rooted in tradition while pushing beyond its boundaries, For the Record creates a richly layered live experience that is both intimate and unpredictable, bringing together three exceptional performers in a shared act of listening, improvisation, and exchange.
For the Record is produced by Once Off Productions, commissioned by Luail – Ireland’s National Dance Company, and co-produced by Luail, glór, and Dance Limerick.
