Amanda Coogan is Luail’s 2026/2027 Artist in Residence

23 January 2026

Amanda Coogan is Luail’s 2026/27 Artist in Residence, following Katie Davenport’s successful 2024/25 residency with the company.

During her residency, Amanda is keen to explore interdisciplinary ways of working with the Luail ensemble, seeking points of dialogue where her practice can sit alongside, respond to, enrich and contribute to the creative impulses of the company.

Amanda is an internationally recognised and critically acclaimed artist, working across live art, performance, photography, and video, and is widely regarded as one of the most dynamic contemporary visual artists working in performance. As an embodied practitioner, her work is rooted in physical making as a mode of thinking and discovery, distilling ideas to their essence through the body.

We’re excited to see how this exchange develops and unfolds over the coming months.
