Dance2Connect
D2C LAB is an intensive professional development programme for dancers working at the intersection of street and contemporary dance.
Each year, participants engage with a leading international guest choreographer/mentor, concluding with the showing of a short work in progress.
In 2025, over 33 dancers took part in D2C LAB, which expanded to three cities, Belfast, Dublin and Limerick. Mentors Ques Zaalman and Matt Szczerek delivered an exciting creation with each group on the theme of Cage; focussing on the sense of entrapment along with the ritual of transformation in the culture of Krump.
For its 8th edition in 2026, D2C LAB hosted mentor Arias Fernández (Joker) – a renowned international artist, teacher, performer and creator of the OM RASA method – known for his unique interdisciplinary training method and his global contributions to Krump culture.
