Luail’s Inaugural Dance Deputies Announced
18 December 2024
In November 2024, we welcomed Luail’s inaugural Dance Deputies: Vivian Brodie Hayes in the South East and Edwina Guckian in the North West.
Vivan Brodie Hayes, based in Wexford, is a contemporary dance choreographer whose work spans performance, film, arts and health, and education. She is the founder of SpringMoves Dance Festival and is currently developing a new dance work commissioned by Creative Ireland.
Based in Leitrim, Edwina Guckian brings 20 years of experience connecting communities through dance. Setting up Áirc Damhsa Culture Club in 2004, Edwina has created a space for everyone to explore traditions and cultures from Ireland and beyond.
Our Dance Deputies will work to enrich the dance infrastructure in their areas respectively, bringing their passion for dance to people in more rural locations.
Their work will help Luail to champion its work and dance in general and help us to achieve our vision – for dance to be known and celebrated across the island of Ireland.
