MOONLIGHT DREAM
MOONLIGHT DREAM
Maiden Voyage Dance co commissioned by Luail
Step into a world of wonder with Moonlight Dream, a gentle dance and live music experience for families with children under 6, created by choreographer Georgia Tegou with original music by composer Ursula Burns.
Created by choreographer Georgia Tegou with live music by composer Ursula Burns, Moonlight Dream is a gentle, sensory-rich dance and music experience for children aged 3–6 and their grown-ups. Inspired by bedtime rituals – cosy stories, soft lullabies and quiet moments – the piece follows a curious child, a caring bear and a mischievous fox as they journey through the night sky and discover the possibilities of the dream world.
With a blend of movement, glowing lightscapes and live music, families are invited to snuggle in, unwind together and let imaginations drift towards the moon. The production is relaxed and welcoming, with dedicated relaxed performances, audio description and touch tours available for audiences who benefit from additional access support.
Moonlight Dream is co-commissioned and produced by Maiden Voyage Dance, principally funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. It is co-commissioned with Luail – Ireland’s National Dance Company, supported by the Arts Council of Ireland / An Chomhairle Ealaíon.
